Dawn, just outside Alton and in freezing fog, the silhouette of A4 'Pacific' Union
of South Africa drofts towards Bentley with a Cathedrals Express tour to Chesterfield and Barrow Hill.
The A4 had just completed a short season for Steam Dreams and was not returning to Alton following this trip.

34027 Taw Valley waits in the night just outside Winchfield with a Sunny South Special
returning from Weymouth to Kensington Olympia. Note the exhaust trailing off into the night air and a 16 day old moon rising
over the trees in this unusual view.

in this moody view. Unfortunately it's poorly composed with a woolly head stuck in the corner.

Nightime at Fleet station. 45231 is silhouetted against the station lights as
it makes steady progress on the 'up slow' behind the 8.40pm stopping service. The Sherwood Forester was returning
to London Victoria on this Cathedrals Express tour to Westbury and Taunton.

on its way to Reading and Bristol fronting `The Bristolian`.

71000 Duke of Gloucester tears through Fleet as night falls on the return leg of this
'Sunny South Special' run by 'Steam Dreams' towards London Kensington. 71000 was returning from Weymouth. I'd gone for the
silhouette but didn't get the sky in, maybe some atmosphere though.

I'd had doubts about this shot across the Pond at Fleet as I suspected the subject would
be to dark. This is a reasonable view but 35028 Clan Line is just too hidden to make this shot worthwhile.
